Poem: do not grieve me

With so much death around us— the grief is heavy. Here is a poem I wrote to capture my sentiments at this time.

——

The concept of death

So liberating

The passing of time

A mere fact.

Here today, gone tomorrow

And life goes on.

So when my time comes

Do not grieve me.

Instead, grieve the hours that have passed

Being true to anyone but myself.

Grieve the people who are walking

Searching for something they will never find.

For me, I have passed on

With the passing of time.
